Can God be Mocked? Gal 6:7

Can God Be Mocked?

Understanding The Times Series | Day 10

"Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap."
- Galatians 6:7 (KJV)

On our journey of Understanding The Times, we come to a very solemn question today.

Many people live today as if God does not see, as if God does not know. They sing in church on Sunday, but from Monday to Saturday, they live to please the flesh. They think they can bribe God with offering or service while their secret life is still in sin.

But the Bible answers clearly: GOD IS NOT MOCKED.

1. What Does It Mean To Mock God?

To mock God means to think you can fool Him, to live a double life, to despise His Word and expect no consequence.

  • Ananias and Sapphira thought they could mock God with lies (Acts 5:1-10)
  • Samson thought he could play with sin and still keep his power (Judges 16)
  • Many today mock God with lip service: "We are under grace" while living in sin.

God is longsuffering, but His longsuffering is not foolishness. He is patient, but He is not blind.

2. The Law That Cannot Be Broken - The Law Of Sowing And Reaping

Every farmer knows this law: You reap what you sow, where you sow, and more than you sow.

If you sow to the flesh - pride, immorality, cheating, malice, worldliness - you will reap CORRUPTION. No prayer can change that harvest.

If you sow to the Spirit - holiness, prayer, love, evangelism, righteousness - you will reap LIFE EVERLASTING (Galatians 6:8).

Your present life is the seed for your eternity.

3. You Cannot Live Anyhow And Finish Well

We are in the last days. Many are deceived. 2 Timothy 3 says men will be lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying the power thereof.

Don't be deceived. God is keeping records. The way you treat your business, your marriage, your secret thoughts - God sees it. And on the harvest day, you will reap it.

Conclusion

So, can God be mocked? No!

Stop mocking God with temporary repentance. If you must sow, sow to the Spirit.

Today, ask yourself: What am I sowing?

Make a decision to sow holiness, because your harvest is coming.

Prayer: Lord, help me not to mock You with my life. Help me to sow to the Spirit daily in Jesus' name. Amen.
